Susana Enriquez – Molto Vivace
Susana Enriquez – Molto Vivace The artworks in this exhibition relates directly to the body of work produced for the artist’s PhD and consists of a range of different mediums and disciplines including drawings and oil and acrylic paintings. The works are based around the theme of Sound and Colour and they examine the interrelationships between painting and music via a personal colour code in order to translate the sounds into painting. While residing in Newcastle “Being born and raised in Mexico City has brought an intrinsic Latin American intensity that is readily apparent. Her studies with important Mexican Artists and her constant exposure to Mexican art , both past and present, have been important in her creative process†(Gregorio Fritz, MA –Montecasino, Mexico. October 2005)
The exhibition will be mounted in the School of Arts Gallery at the Arts Centre and will include a number of lyrical works on paper presented as wall mounted “scrolls†which represent the musical score with the pertinent words being “gesture†and “performanceâ€. A selection of central hanging oil paintings on acetate film will create a double sided viewing experience for the audience as they pass in and around the suspended pieces. In addition, there will be a suite of 100 abstract “colour coded†paintings which will encircle the walls, arranged by the curator in a completely personal and interpretative sequence according to the ideas suggested by listening to the music of Manuel Enriquez (the artist’s late husband) and Arvo Part. The exhibition will open at 6.00pm on Friday 28

Hi Susana.. I photographed your exhibition at Muswellbrook Regional Arts centre again on Friday. I shot them on my camera and from the point of view of my interpretations of your work more so than restricting myself to a straight out representation. I will send my pictures down with the galleries shots of the installation on a CD this week.. hopefully tomorrow (Mon 22) and then you should have them for Christmas.
Great to see you back again Susie
Dear Susana.
In the last two years I have been working on biographies of classical music composers. Up to now I have 80 powerpoint biogarphies on my site.
I would like to make a Biography of the mexican composer Manuel EnrÃquez, but I do know where to get his music in CD or mp3. On the site http://www.manuelenriquez.com, there is a reference to a company “Editora de Musica de Concierto” but the phone number 56047858 is wrong.
Can you tell me where can I find and buy Cds with his music?
Thanks & Best Regards
